Posted 24/9/2021

We are proud to announce that Cyanolab Ph.D. student Manthos Panou won the 2nd prize for the best oral presentation in the 39th Annual Meeting of the European Culture Collections’ Organisation (ECCO XXXIX). His presentation was dealing with "Unravelling unknown cyanobacteria diversity linked with HCN production in the TAU-MAC collection", which is part of his Ph. D. thesis.

The Symposium was organised by Public Health England and was dealing with all different types of Cultures Collections across Europe, as well as Collections from different regions of the world. Cyanolab and the TAU-MAC collection are proud to be a member of ECCO since 2019. We are looking forward to even more interesting and fruitful events organised by the ECCO scientific community.
